So, I have tried starting this damned blog a thousand times and never kept up with it. The fact have no readers and no time will likely make this latest attempt an even worse failure than the last one.
Anyway, I should start on a positive note! I am going to bitch, complain, and yell about politics and other stuff! YAY! I know that I am just one voice but I think it will be good for me to get this stuff off of my chest. As a rule, I am not going to take this very seriously. If you want to disagree with me you should. I don’t care.
Also, I am not the best with spelling and grammar! Stuff it grammar nazis! I will also use nasty fucking language when I damn well feel like it! Deal!
Another note I would like to make is this: I do not know everything! There are also times when I am wrong. I can admit this and welcome people filling the gaps and correcting me. Do this as often and freely as you wish.
So to hop into this I want to mention an op-ed I just read from former California Arnold Schwarzenegger. This appeared in the the LA Times. It was pretty good and I like the overall conclusion. This does not mean I agree with this man on much.
The Arnold was straight forward in his talk about how worried he is getting about out friends at the GOP. He warned our Republican friends about the party’s fevered march to the small tent of ultra conservatism. He even used the GOP’s golden calf, Reagan against them. Ouch.
I don’t want to dig into this to much, but the man could not be more right on this. The GOP is quickly becoming a party of reaction and looking backwards. Even taking a small look at the headlines of the day paints an ugly picture of this. A crackdown on women’s reproductive rights, voter bills that make make it harder to vote, and a game good-old-boy minded business does not leave a lot of room for diversity. I wan’t to talk about this more in the future.
